Install new 1000 gal septic tank Install clean outs Cut concrete sidewalk and remove, we don’t pour back concrete Install new pvc pipe from the main line in the crawl space to the new septic tank Day one Upon arrival to the home on day one of the work to be completed, we began by having the existing tank pumped empty of all sewage. Once the tank was empty we dug to the bottom of the tank on both sides, in order to access the whole tank. After it was dug up we proceeded to crush the tank and move all the concrete and debris to the side. We then proceeded to dig out the hole for the new tank. This included ensuring the bottom was level. We then set the new tank and ensured all was level and then filled on both sides halfway, proceeding to tamp every 12 inches. Once dirt was tamped we filled the tank half way with water to ensure no movement over night. Last for the day we completed a temporary hook up for the inlet drain, so the homeowners had facilities for over night. Day two
Upon arrival to the home the homeowner made me aware that the bathroom sink was clogged as well as the handles for the sink faucet were loose and the tailpiece extension was not long enough to reach the trap. Upon further diagnosis I came to the conclusion that all of this was true. I then proceeded to give the homeowner upfront pricing and options to get this issue resolved today. The homeowner has decided to not go to work today but said that she will call back if she changes her mind.
On today’s visit the customer made me aware that there was a sulfur smell coming out of the hot water only. I was able to detect the presence of the smell and after speaking with the customer for a while I found that the home had not been occupied for a bit. The water heater is approximately three years old and looks to be in great working condition but sometimes at a factory setting of 120°F and sitting dormant it can produce a bacteria that causes this particular sulfur smell. According to A.O. Smith/state the best solution is to flush the water heater as well as install a mixing valve/tank booster allowing me to increase the temperature in the tank and regulate what enters the fixtures.Turning the temperature up would kill this form of bacteria and prevent it from continuing and the flesh would ensure that we got as much of the bacteria out as we could. Sometimes the smell can come from a bad anode rod in the water heater but generally a heater with more age. I gave the customer mul
On arrival to the property after my office had let me know that the customer was home and available I knocked on the door multiple times and there are no cars in the driveway and also with no answer at the door. While at the property a manager of the lot whom his name is Lee came over and let me know that no one was home and there were absolutely no places inside of this particular mobile home to install a washer and dryer. So at that time I reached out to my office and called the number that we had on file and the customers friend answered and let me know she set up the appointment for this customer and thought she was home but unfortunately she was not. Would have happily contacted the customer but as of right now she does not have a phone available Nick pleasants Haw river,nc
